How do we do this?
Product Animations
for Mad Dog
Introduction
In 2024, we began collaborating with MediaExpert/TRGSA, creating a series of product animations for their gaming brand Mad Dog. The project had a clear goal: to increase product sales by highlighting them against the competition and creating a unique visual style that reflects the character of the brand.
The client's previous animations were amateurish, which made the products look unappealing and not "worth their price." Our task was to change this approach by providing professional materials optimized for online advertising – both technically and marketing-wise.
Target
Group
Mad Dog targets its products at young players (18-30 years old), technology enthusiasts, and gaming aesthetics admirers who value quality and style. Our persona is "Kuba, 25 years old, an avid gamer and streamer, looking for equipment that looks and works like it's from the future."
Goal
of animation
Increasing sales by showcasing key product features (informationality) and emotionally engaging the audience in a style consistent with Mad Dog. Gamers enjoy an aggressive style – just as aggressive as Mad Dog, which became the starting point for the project.
/ styling
How the recipient shapes the style of animation
The animation style – dynamic, futuristic, with neon accents – has been designed to reflect the gaming world, where energy and modernity are key. We focused on smooth transitions, aggressive camera movement, and a color palette reminiscent of abstract, high-tech spaces. Neon green and blue lights, metallic surfaces, and intense color grading create a music video-like perception, synced with appropriately chosen, often sharp music. This is not just animation – it is a visual story that resonates with gamers and sets Mad Dog apart in the market.
/ process
Every project starts with a conversation with the client, establishing what to highlight and in what style. For Mad Dog, the key elements were an aggressive atmosphere, neon lighting, and dynamic effects – something like a spaceship with a touch of the Matrix.
/ product
The client provided us with physical products, such as keyboards and microphones. Live analysis – as shown in the picture of the microphone on my desk [here's the picture] – allowed us to accurately replicate textures, mechanical 'clicks', and the play of light on surfaces. These are details that create the impression of quality.
We have planned 3 review iterations:
Storyboard
with description
We show how the animation presents the product, its context, style, and benefits for the user.
Animatik
and style frames
The preliminary animation with keyframes allows for a better understanding of what the final animation will look like.
Rendered
material
Regular updates and flexibility in receiving feedback ensured the stability of cooperation and a guarantee of delivering advertisements on time.
Creative solutions and optimization
We proposed vertical versions of the animation, using central compositions, which optimised the process of creating two formats – faster and cheaper. The animations were designed for use as product cards on the website and for advertisements on the internet and social media, meeting technical and marketing requirements.
Effects
and value
We created a series of animations that capture the gaming character of Mad Dog and highlight products in the market. We replaced amateur materials with professional advertisements that showcase quality and style, building trust in the product prices. Collaborating with us is not just about animations – it’s a tool that grows with the client’s needs.
The client was greatly impressed – both with the visual effects and the way the product was presented.
Project development
and collaboration
With Mad Dog, we started with one animation, and today we have completed over 6 materials [here links to animations]. The collaboration is scaling – from individual projects to the brand's visual story. We are ready for full visual campaigns, raising the bar with each subsequent film – more neon lights, bolder shots, new products.
